Penny Roberts
Penny Roberts is one of the country’s most respected and well known television journalists, with a career that spans more than two decades. In that time Penny has been at the centre of all the major news events and stories and has built a reputation as a formidable interviewer. Her work has been recognized by a prestigious Royal Television Society award.

Penny began her career in independent radio before moving to anchor the main drive-time news programme on BBC Radio Wales. She also worked as the country's network correspondent and has been a regular reporter on Radio 4's Today programme. A move to television followed and for five years Penny anchored Wales Today, before being appointed the programme's Chief Reporter.

Penny has reported from America, Asia and Europe, filing stories for both BBC Wales and network television. From politicians to police chiefs to pop stars, Penny has earned a reputation as a reporter who knows what questions to ask and what it takes to get to the heart of the story. As well as her work in news and current affairs Penny has co-presented the BBC’s Crimewatch Roadshow and has made numerous documentaries which have had a significant impact on policy.

Penny is in demand as a conference host and presenter. Her training experience includes work for the BBC College of Journalism and a number of corporate clients in Wales.
